Telephone Helplines Association (THA)
Membership of the THA is an acknowledgement that ICIS provides a staffed telephone service within the field of health, education or social welfare that:
- recognises callers have the right to make choices
- does not impose any particular belief or approach
- follows a confidentiality policy which outlines the circumstances, if any, when confidentiality may be broken
- follows an equal opportunities policy in the management of the service, delivery of services and recruitment of staff and volunteers
- has a policy for handling complaints from users of the service
- provides staff with induction and ongoing training, regular support and supervision
National Association for Voluntary and Community Action (NAVCA)
ICIS is an associate member of the NAVCA, providing opportunities for networking with other voluntary services and specialist network groups, and access to advice, information and support on policy, development, codes of practice, legislation, funding and other issues relating to the management and running of voluntary organisations.
