What is a custom database?

At ICIS we design, develop and maintain databases of services for other organisations in the health and social care sectors. These 'custom' databases are created from our own extensive data resource which we maintain and develop and which is used to answer enquiries and facilitate access to information.

Custom databases are designed to meet your needs, contain the topics of information that are relevant to your service, and contain the services that are relevant to your clients. For example, you may need information about services for older people in one area of West Sussex, or need to have access to services for people with a particular disability. Working with you we design the search methods, the terminology and agree the range of content.

The data is maintained according to our high quality standards and refreshed regularly (daily if you have an online custom resource). Custom databases can also be used to create printed booklets or directories, with the content being maintained by us so that when you wish to reprint you won't have to spend time updating every entry.

Having your own custom database saves you time searching for information and keeping the information up to date. Let ICIS do the searching - let ICIS keep your information up-to-date!
